Leadership
The leadership model of Chime Bell Baptist Church is built on 1 Timothy 3 with elders and deacons. CBBC has three elders and multiple deacons who serve in various strategic ministries within the church. Each one is considered to be a servant / leader within the congregation. Each are men of integrity and character that have been tested over an extended period of time in accordance with the leadership principles provided in the 1 Timothy 3 guidelines.

Pastor Gary has been at Chime Bell Baptist Church since October 1994. He has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Clemson University. He has studied at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and has a Master of Theology, Master of Divinity, Doctor of Ministry, Doctor of Theology, and Doctor of Divinity degree from Covington Theological Seminary (CTS). He serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for CTS, is the Academic Dean for the institution, and is the Dean of the CTS extension in Aiken, S.C. and in Susani, Romania. He serves as the regional dean for the extensions in South Carolina and North Carolina, as well as the extension in Savannah, Georgia. He teaches in the CTS international extension of Romania, and has taught in Zimbabwe, Indonesia, and the Philippines. He also serves as an on-line professor for CTS and is a professor of theology. He and his wife have three children, six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
